A sexy standalone romance written by #1 NYT Bestselling Author Lauren Blakely and Award-Winning Romance Narrator Joe Arden!

Every man knows there are lines you don't cross. Like this one -- don't bang your boss's little sister.
Too bad I didn't know sexy, clever, irresistible London is related to the guy who signs my paychecks. Would have been helpful to have that intel before I took her out on that first date, before I kissed her on the beach, before I made plans to take her home that night.
But now I know and I'm going to be so damn disciplined. I'm a good guy, after all. And good guys don't break the golden rules of the bro code. I'm going to follow the f&*k out of all the rules. I won't break a single damn one.
Even when London asks me to help her with a work project. One that has us working late every night, all alone, in her tiny apartment.
One that tests every ounce of willpower I have.
One that is driving me out of my ever loving mind.
But I resist.
Until the night she issues a challenge I can't refuse.

How to Get Lucky

How to Get Lucky by Lauren Blakely & Joe Arden I just want to start off by saying I love Teddy! He’s the nicest of nice guys: loves books, music, and dogs - the perfect trifecta! He feels an immediate attraction to London, not realizing she’s the sister of his boss which is, for more than the obvious reasons, a huge no no. However, being the professional DJ that he is, when London requests his help with a performance she’s choreographing, he can’t help but agree to lend his expert knowledge. What can I say? I loved every single word of this book! The characters were both so well-thought out and just perfect for each other. The banter between them and also the conversations/messages with their respective friends were so engaging and the banter was, as always, perfect. The book was fun, flirty, and fabulous and I’m ready for more from this duo! *I voluntarily read an early copy of this book. **Reviewed by Melinda for Joandisalovebooks Blog.

Entertaining fun read

4,5 Stars for How to Get Lucky I love Lauren Blakey as an author and I love Joe Arden as a narrator so I was excited to see what would happen when they teamed up to co-write How to Get Lucky and boy did they do an amazing job with Teddy and London’s story. Teddy and London have an instant attraction but Teddy is not prepared to jump in to another relationship after being badly hurt and as London is a co worker that also should have been a red flag. Will Teddy take a chance and act on his feelings or will the hurt from the past have him walking away. This is a story about finding love when you least expect it, it’s about taking a leap of faith and hoping the one you love will be there to catch you, it’s about chemistry and it’s about making your partner laugh because let’s be honest we all need a laugh in the world we are living in. I really enjoyed this entertaining romantic comedy and it was interesting that I have no clue who wrote what bits and that’s a sure sign of a good writing duo. I was left smiling after reading this captivating tale so I guess all that’s left today is please one click this gem.

Absolutely entertaining!

4.5 stars How to Get Lucky is filled to the brim with witty banter, wonderful friendships and a conundrum. The conundrum being that there is a fine line between mixing business with pleasure. Or is there? Alas Teddy, a DJ extraordinare, when a particular woman catches his eye, needless to say he may be treading the proverbial line of mixing business with pleasure, unbeknownst to him initially. Could their meeting be fate? The ease of friendship between Teddy and London is absolutely entertaining. They both have quite the sense of humour and the sizzling chemistry is undeniable. I loved them both, they seemed to gel tremendously well in all aspects! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the storyline flowed so well that I just didn’t want it to end. Definitely a book to add to your must read list.

Entertaining

Having read numerous books written by Lauren Blakely, I was intrigued to see what she and narrator Joe Arden would present to us when they collaborated on How To Get Lucky. What a unique story they wove; I was engrossed from the first to the last chapter. You cannot help but fall in love with the characters and I was fully invested in Teddy and London’s story. The secondary characters were engaging as well as entertaining and really did the book justice. The attraction between Teddy and London sizzles right from the start but having been badly burned, Teddy is in no hurry to begin another relationship, least of all with a co worker. This book had me laughing and smiling throughout and is one I enjoyed. This is a fun romantic comedy, it’s a story of finding love when you aren’t looking for it, of taking a leap of faith and hoping that the one you put your hopes and trust in will be there to catch you.

I love a Good Guy!

I had a few doubts when I saw that this book was a collaboration, because some work and some definitely don't, but I am happy to say this one works extremely well! It took me a chapter or so to get the groove of the vibrant, energetic and spirited Teddy Emery who falls for London Hollis instantly. She was vivacious and sparkling which matched Teddy to a T. They discover they are both science nerds and dog lovers amongst other things. It is all moving along swimmingly until she discloses that she is related to Teddy's boss - Archer is London's brother. And before you think, oh no not another "we can't date because she is his sister" romance, this one is deeper. Teddy has been burnt badly in a previous relationship and he's a good guy, he has morals that I admired and it is not over played that they want to uphold them. But London is tempting... oh so tempting. I also loved the unique way that this novel is told in dual POV, it was refreshing. While they work out how to do the right thing, Teddy helps London with choosing music for her female dance show she is choreographing for Archer and his club Edge. And I am happy to report that good guys can finish first, as Teddy got the girl in the end and they had a brilliant HEA that spans over a couple of epilogues. Will there be more from LB and Joe Arden, if it is as good as this book, sign me up right now!
